After I lived in Australia for part of a year, I try to have an Australia Day every year to celebrate my time over there and the special place that country has in my heart. I just may have to partake.
Wondering quite what that pie is supposed to be sitting in…koala sick?
The “Meat Pie Floater” is a supposed “delicacy” of Australia. A plate of mushy peas is served with a meat pie floating on top. This so called delicacy is not so much an “Australian delicacy” so much as an extremely “localised delicacy’ of only two pie stands i have ever found serving them - one was in Adelaide, the other in Kings Cross.
I’m still not convinced it wasn’t a dare for the tourists.
